This dresser set was designed by Merton Gershun for American of Martinsville's "Dania" line which began being produced in 1955! According to the original catalog, Merton Gershun was inspired by Danish design. These pieces have been lightly restored and are in excellent condition. They feature louvered drawers with hidden pulls on the left side of the lowboy and the bottom drawers of the chest. Both dressers feature brass accents along the tapered legs.
The chest has seven drawers total. The top drawer is a long slender drawer, below that there are three drawers with brass pulls. The lower bottom drawers have the signature Dania solid walnut louvered design.
The lowboy has a total of six drawers and one section with a fixed shelf in between. The left side has the louvered solid walnut drawers and right side has two cabinet doors with brass pulls that conceal the white lacquer drawers. There is also a large matching mirror included with the lowboy!
